Let me start out by saying, I only use the default textures and I don't use any hacks or anything else like that. While playing today, something happened to me for the second time. The clouds turned into, well, stuff that isn't clouds? The longer I stay on, the more things change. Lava and bedrock come up to the surface but disappear when you get close. Leaves disappear on trees and turn into some kind of grid. Great big false holes appear on the ground and fill in again when you get close. The sun and the moon turn into some kind of matrix writing. The moon is slightly visible in one of the pics. Here's some pics:

I Just want everyone to know that I'm not using anything I should (hence the full transparency). Anyone know what's going on? The first time it happened, other players text started changing into smaller symbols (like compass, apple etc.) too. While this was going on, no other players seemed to be having issues.

I also want to add that everything returns to normal if i sign out and back in again.

I'm being totally honest, 100% default textures. I even tried to find someone else online with the same happenings and couldn't find anything. Apparently this is a unique issue.

The first thing you always do when getting graphical errors is to check your graphics card drivers and make sure they're up to date. After that, your next step would be to update or reinstall Java, clearing out any caches of stuff that might be floating around. Then delete your minecraft folder, saving the maps and screenshots so you don't lose that. Let the game regenerate the files, and see if that helps. If all else fails, then I don't know how else to help you.

Thanks for the suggestions MastaC. It's funny, if it wasn't for the whole "not knowing if the lava is real or not", i'd be tempted to play in my fun wonder land. Good news is, it's definitely NOT a server thing.
