I recently tried to go into the Nether portals in the main town, but it spat me out somewhere other than the community portal. It looked like a controlled exit for people who had built portals too close to the community one. When I went back through the portal, it sent me to a house within the main town. It was large, and on the side was a picture of an alien from Space Invaders.
