I am new to Minetown and I can not get on any of the servers. When I try to connect, it just says that it is "out of date!". What do I do about this? Thanks for your help.

Probably means you're using the 1.7.9 client, try to downgrade to 1.7.4, just edit your profile when you start Minecraft.

At the moment, Minetown servers are running the 1.7.4 version of Minecraft. To downgrade go to the launcher, select your profile, click edit profile, and where its says select version, change it from use latest to 1.7.4.
