Hey all. I'm new to minetown. Put in my app a few days ago. Don't know if it's been approved yet or not, but I'll work that out later. In the meantime though, I had a few questions.

Is there a thread that's specifically tailored for people who are new to MT? I know there's a wiki and all, but it's still under construction and whatnot. I'm mostly curious about how the economy works, if there's any pertinent info I should be aware of, and what exactly a 'reserved server slot' is. I saw that on the donators page, but there's very little description about the prize itself.

Anyone care to clue me in?

So, to get started, we use mostly gold and diamond as our currency, but also iron and Minetown (MT) credits. You can get MT credits by voting for minetown by clicking on the picture towards the top right of the homepage. Once you receive these credits, you can buy stuff with them from the credit shop. To get there, type /warp cs. The "reserved server slot" means that if the server is ever full and you want to get on, it will let you go on even when it is full. how to get iron/gold/diamond WITHOUT mining, most people will hire someone to collect stuff for them OR clear land, the jobs pay usually range from 1gb to 30+ gb ( GB = Gold Bars ) sometimes people will give you tools to clear the land and let you keep them <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object> hope this helps on getting money
