I was going into the Nether at my portal (warp dopeportal) and I spawn to find a block protected nether region. I was under the impression that the Nether was survival and there was no protections. Yet I find plots being sold???

Please explain.

On another note. Could we have a better incentive for going into the nether. Currently lava and netherrack are really not very useful. It would be nice if Notch could implement some sort of bosses into the nether. There is also no point in hunting Ghasts. WHYYYYY!!!!??

Ive seen a few things in the nether protected.
