[Enjin Archive] Upgrading my Gaming CPU
Started by Unknown User

okay so other than Futuremark turning off my computer i was able to run HWMonitor although I believe it was a bit buggy detecting the temperature of some of my pins (TMPIN0, TMPIN1). saying that they are running @ 250 degrees F.

Also, I just tried running WoW on Ultra settings along with HWMonitor and my computer turned off again.

I tried to reproduce this with HWMonitor turned off but it wouldn't happen.

Little update: I'm currently running WoW on Ultra settings on 1980x1080 (windowed) and Fallout 3 on Very High settings (Full screen) and the problem where the computer turning itself off won't replicate... has to do something with HWMonitor...
Here is link to download speedfan

I'm going to play WoW on ultra with speedfan on and see what happens.
I would only worry about you core temps and your gpu temps.

You can try running that 3d bench mark program with speedfan and see what happens. Dont run other games/ programs at same time though. <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>
Before installing new video card and drivers you may want to run this program.

http://download.cnet.com/Driver-Sweeper/3000-2094_4-75219868.html?tag=mncol;1

It will remove all the old video drivers. Then install new video card and drivers.

It may help prevent driver conflicts

discussion about PSU's if you are looking at them
Wow your GPU and chipset seems to be overheated

Yes try reinstalling Graphic card drivers and Chipset, but i wouldn't use Driver-Sweeper, instead go to your graphic card vendor page and MB vendor page and redownload drivers manually. Softwares like driver sweeper can screw up with the right drivers, has happened a few times for me and my colleagues.

And you could try a really great software called Passmark Burnintest Here. We use it at work, but don't leave it unattended <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>
You think? I thought 80 degrees Celsius was fine for a gfx card. Is 54 Celsius a problem for my processor? I would ignore that temp thing that says its 122 cel. thats obviously a bug.
Well it's ok, but it's pretty high. Is the heatsink clean from dust?

and a 55 degree CPU is pretty warm also, but it's alright also as long as it's not 65-70 degrees.
