[Enjin Archive] Changes to the New Life Rule
Started by [E] Darkpsy

Effective: Jan 27 2014

Updated: Jan 27 2014

Please read the following carefully. By logging on the Prison Server, you accept the following change.

The New Life Rule has been modified. As of now, even if the player is killed, action can still be taken against the player so long as the proper procedure is followed.

If a player kills themselves to prevent disciplinary action, the offender will now face an immediate 10 minute jail sentence as well as a note on the player’s permanent record. Constant abuse of this rule may result in more severe punishments being issued.

If a staff member is killed, the violation never happened unless there is another staff member present who witnessed the violation. The other staff member(s) involved may pick up with disciplinary action.

This rule does not apply to hard rule violations, excessive PVP violations, and excessive chat violations. Punishments for said violations can be issued at any time.
So if someone is excessively PVP'ing it no longer applies to the new life rule? so if i die while someones pvping and then they still do it 2 more times i can nail em?
The hard rule punishments can be applied at anytime, even if a player is offline. These rules are the ones listed under "Hard Rules" in the Hard and Soft Rules thread. Excessive PVP is decided on a case-by-case basis using many factors to decide if the PVP is truly excessive.

The same goes for excessive chat violations. If the player refuses to follow chat rules despite warnings and disciplinary action, the more serious actions can be taken after examining the evidence.

At no time is severe action taken unless all available evidence is closely examined.
