Hi everyone, GTL here.

Today as I was voting for the server, I noticed that almost, if not all of the sites still had the old 'mc.minetown.net' IP as the server's IP. I've connected to Minetown with this IP ever since I've been here. But after the 1.7 update, it stopped re-routing me to the server and just showed a 'Server refused connection" error. I switched the IP in the server list to mt.gg and all was well.

But the problem is, all of those voting sites that are supposed to be promoting the server are no longer doing so, as they are still giving out the old IP. Even in the server status banners, the IP appears offline, as if it's an entirely different server.

I'm not sure if anyone was aware of this, but I just though it would be best to notify.

I saw this too. Didn't know what to do, i thought it would get resolved over time but seems as if not. Thanks for making this aware GTL .

Nice discovery GTLTheLoneWolf ! Let's hope Sawine or Danni or appropriate staff check this out soon. Although - it might be that one IP redirects to the new one - I am also looking into voting issues.

I play mostly on Pearl, which is a MineTown server. I vote for Pearl and as some who likely vote for McBall or MT proper. But since we are all MT servers every vote for any MT server should show a cumulative total. And then maybe a subdivision of votes per hub server.

All voting helps all MT servers - and encouraging new players to get into the habit of voting as well as nudging the long time players who get "lazy" about it - lol.
